Love the RV Life!

Focal Point – Artistic term in a distant converging point

I have a bug that is bugging me.

The incessant prodding of a thought that will not leave me alone.

I guess it is because I have focal point that I am aiming for.

That focal point is the next chapter in my life here on Earth.
(Wiki: In Fine art, a Focal Point focuses specifically on a point of interest which makes a canvas unique)

Without getting too melodramatic on you, I’ll see if I can explain:

Back in the early 2000’s my husband, son and I were used to going out on weekends in our RV (Recreational Vehicle) with the horse trailer loaded with our favorite four-legged friends. We belong to an organization called Backcountry Horsemen of California BCHC.
We would go up in the moutains and meet others where we would ride out on the trails and see what we could work on and improve. We would then set a date and have a work-party to clean up wind-blown trees and brush, repair trails with water breaks so they would not be rutted for hikers or riders to pass. Loved that.

Anyway, my husband Jesse has grown older (he is much older than I am) and our son has his own life and family, but ME, I still want to get out there in nature. Jesse can’t get around like he used to and has been pretty much house-bound unless I get him in the car for a ride somewhere.

He is in the midnight of his life and looks to me to guide him. He gets blue often because he can’t do what he used to do and a change in scenery will do him a lot of good.

So I have made an Executive Desision to pack up and head for greener pastures.
What better way to do that than to take our house with us? Got a great RV rig we will use to outfit our adventure. I am studying hard and gathering items, making repairs and such to make sure that once the dock lines are cast, there will be smooth sailing. I am the Captain of this ship.

Leaving here makes sense for us now, the bug that is buggin me wants to meet others out there doing similar for themselves, helping people and just plain enjoying life!

This is going to be a huge benefit for Jesse as he can hang with the guys and I can comune with nature or join the girls volunteering to help out somewhere.

A great group of people we have met already with the Escapees club members, the name itself lends one to dream of escaping the choking city life with its traffic and crowds.

I will document as we roll along on our travels. I am looking forward to sharing the adventure with you all.

Upward and Onward!

Soon and very soon…

-Kimberly
